Cerruti 1881

The Cerruti family in Biella, Italy, a textile mill town near Milan and Turino founded Cerruti in 1881. In the late 1950’s Cerruti ventured into the production of clothing. The first Cerruti boutique was opened in 1967 on the Rue Royale in Paris.

Cerrtui are world famous for there expertise in designing and producing designer clothes, perfumes, and accessories such as pens and watches.

Linked with cinema Nino Cerruti is friends and stylist to the stars, his name shines in the credits of mythical films such as Bonnie and Clyde, Borsalino, Wall Street, Basic Instinct and Mars Attacks. Some of the biggest stars have been dressed by Nino Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Sharon Stone, Robert Redford, Michael Douglas, Diane Keaton, Denzel Washington, Clint Eastwood, … To such an extent that a production line in his factory is reserved exclusively for the cinema; 100 outfits are thus delivered to Richard Gere for Pretty Woman. A drop in the ocean compared to the 330 000 pieces produced each year.
